The Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), was the venue for the most unforgettable night in the history of Hip-life music in Ghana!
On December 24, 2008, Citi 97.3FM and Agoo Magazine with sponsorship from Zain and Coca Cola unleashed on Ghanaians the event that lived by its name – ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’.
The theatre of the AICC was full to capacity and overflowing at its seams with patrons of Ghana’s modern music genre – Hiplife, spiced with some of the shining examples of R&B and gospel singers. The line up, made up of some of the country’s most consistent and dynamic musicians and groups kept music lovers on their feet leaving them asking for more.
Tinny, Okyeame Kwame, Asem, Bradez, Tic Tac, Praye, Becca, Kweku Gyasi, Christiana Love all performed in such magical ways that went above expectations.
Throughout the show, patrons were on their feet singing along, dancing and asking for more.
The MCs for the show, Jessica Opare Saforo, Sammy Forson, Chris Attoh, Caroline and Yaw Sakyi steered the affairs smoothly.
And guess who else was there to spice up the show, A-Plus.
After the main show, an after party followed and there was plenty of free drinks.
For those who were there, it will be difficult to forget ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ 2008.
