The most controversial and anticipated awards dubbed " Vodafone Ghana Music Awards" took place at Accra International Conference Centre on 14th April, 2012 yesterday night.
It was the 13th time the awards were been held but the first time Vodafone was been the title sponsor.
As artistes and celebs made their red carpet debut you could feel their excitement and anxiety for the night.
A night of blitz and glamour it was. Kofi Okyere Darko and Confidence Haugen (C.E.O of Aphrodisiac night club) were the hosts on the red carpet.
In the auditorium, the setup was impeccable but the audience were getting impatient as the show was far behind time.
Eventually, the show started and Funny Face the co-host of the event was at his best. He gave the audience a good dose of his unadulterated jokes.
The montage that introduced Chris Attoh, the main host for the night was quiet an interesting and hilarious one. This definitely got the audience recharged for the night.
Lord Kenya, a hip life artiste now turned pastor, surprised his fans when he joined Cwasi Oteng on stage to perform a gospel song. The audience loved every bit of his performance. This obviously revealed how much they missed Lord Kenya.
Efya and Sarkodie were at their best as usual on the night. Remarkably, EL, Kaakie, and Edem proved that it was their time to shine. They entertained the audience and got them yearning for more of their music.
Buk Bak also performed their hit song "Kolom" which the audience responded positively to it.
Capo Snoop from Angola also performed his windeck with his waist wining and energetic dance moves.
There was other performances by Kwaw Kese, Double HP, Guru, Edem, 4x4 and more
From Abuja, Nigeria, the Chocolate City boys, made up of Brymo, Ice Prince, M.I. And Jesse Jagz contributed their quota to making the event a successful one.
Perhaps, the worst blunder of the night was when Appietus mentioned the wrong winner for a category and blamed Charter House live on stage.
