    Anas sings for literacy at Bongo

    In support for "Ghana Reads Campaign", the inhabitants of Bongo witnessed a stunning musical performance by the two greatest stars. Paul Okyere popularly known as Anas and the group Blakstone which consist of Mustapha Issah and Benjamin Adjei, who were in the northern region last week to support the ace hip life musician Obour to raise funds in support of providing reading materials for the Ghana Reads library project.

    This was climax with a musical event at the Picorna hotel which witnessed thousands of people who took to the ground to support the program. The residents were hosted to an enchantment of all range of music from Anas and Blackstone.

    The show was organize by Youth Icon Ghana in collaboration with Read Wide Ghana limited and the ace musician, the man many term as the king of social responsibility Bice Osei Kuffour known in music circus as Obour.

    The show was also to promote and inculcate reading in children at the elementary or basic school. This project targets the less privilege societies in Ghana and raises funds to build libraries for them because the musician is of the firm belief that reading can reduce poverty both physically and psychologically.

    Anas when contacted said “he was very happy to be part of the project and is looking forward to partner Obour to raise funds to support the initiative. He posits that all corporate institutions should commit some resources in helping the less deprived communities.

    When Blackstones were contacted, they said they Obour had been a long time friend and when he ask them to support the project they could not refuse, more so the initiative was a laudable one which was worth supporting. They praise him for such a project.
