For this upcoming album, Irene is fusing types of genres together and lastly the album won,t be complete without the voice of her mum who also doubles as a singer.
The hit maker, also told us that she tries to keep her lyrics clean and motivating.
Her song, 'Kabilla', the Hausa sang love song became a smash hit all over the Ghana. Irene is planning to take the Ghanaian music industry up by a big surprise again. This time round not with a single but a whole new album. “This album is going to be the first of its kind in GH. It's guaranteed to stand out. I’ve worked with so many different engineers from Zap Mallet to Osei and Kaywa amongst to bring out the best in me, she said.
“It's a combination of Afro, soul, pop, R&B, but all in one delicious burst of sounds that one will keep you listening. The reason I sound so confident is because my heart and soul is in there and that could never go wrong” excited Irene says.
Irene wants to create goods songs on her upcoming album and throws in some words of praise to Asem. She says Asem is so talented and diverse, he can fit anywhere. He is a great song writer but am also listening to Trigmatic and I thing he's also unique.
Irene’s upcoming studio album seems to be coming along even faster than anybody realized and wants to leave that legacy of “that girl that was part of a movement to put Africa music on the world map. The girl who sang and changed lives”.
