The name Joyce Yeboah is fast becoming a household name on the Ghanaian gospel music scene. Although she has released her second album, Odo Ade Fofro, Joyce has been groomed by a number of music directors into a professional star who is already on her way to stardom.Knowing very well that it takes a mature and enlightened mind to become a great star, Joyce has taken her musical career very seriously, to meet the challenges ahead of her.
The release of her second album is in fulfillment of a cherished dream in her career, which has all along been linked to gospel music.
Though it is her second album, Joyce is no novice in the music industry, having had stints with very notable musicians.
Joyce’s music career started a decade ago and her performance with some top musicians in Ghana, spurred her on to take up music.
Having sung for several years, Joyce has the voice and demeanour that appeals to both Christians and non-Christians alike and the content of her songs are really inspirational and motivational.
The album which has eight tracks and two remixes, opens with ‘Awurade Adi M’asem Ama Me’, which has a traditional beat to it, making it irresistible. It talks of the need for one to keep in touch with God because there are times the absence of God prevents him from carrying out his daily activities.
The album has songs like ‘Adom Arakwa’, ‘Bra Na Obegye Wo’, among others.
She told the Daily Guide that as a young enterprising gospel music star, she intends to use her music to educate people about Christ and also win souls for Him. Talk of lyrics, arrangements, instrumentation, sound quality and the album is second to none.
