Jennifer Bergner is finally here

When this young songstress starts speaking Twi one is forced to ask the question why the name Jennifer Bergner. Born on November 24th 1990 in Bremen, Germany to Ghanaian parents, James Takyi  Abbeam and Rose Takyi Abbeam, Jennifer has always nurtured the desire to become a musician right from a tender age.

Her first visit to Ghana at the age of seven allowed her to learn quite a lot about her culture and Ghana. Like the Beyonces and Brandys, Jennifer Bergner also started her musical journey from the church. Watch Bye Bye Anaa by Jennifer Bergner feat. Terry B

Joining the All Saint Catholic Church choir in Tema during her stay provided her with opportunity to develop her singing abilities and also experiment with some local music renditions. It was at this stage of her life that she fell in love with Ghanaian music and has never looked back.

Signed to Emklan Music, one of Ghana’s flourishing entertainment outfit, this almost German but Ghanaian artiste has released her debut album titled "Finally".

The eight track album has all the genres associated with the Ghanaian music industry and has put her in competition with fellow young and matured Ghanaian musicians. 'Bye Bye Anaa' and 'I Remember' is enjoying lots of airplay in Germany, Italy, Holland and it’s expected to do the same when promotion in Ghana commences by November.

The album which has already been successfully launched in Germany was attended by an unprecedented 1132 people, with such a smooth take off and the solid management team put in place, one can only say that Ghana has another star that has come to stay.

Ghana should watch out for her launch in Ghana in December.

Jennifer who is currently perusing a degree program in media and design at London Metropolitan University in United Kingdom is upbeat about her career and has expressed gratitude to her parents for allowing and supporting her kick start her music career at such a young age.
