Louisa Fever – new Ghanaian female dancehall voice on the block has come out to rubbish bluffs by people that she cannot keep up with competition with the other ladies who are already in the game. Real name, LOUISA ATONGO JACOBS, has been on the screens lately with a music video for her debut single “FEVER”.
Even though her song is not “loud” on radio yet, unlike the way Kaakie and Gully Princess (who are also Ghanaian female Dancehall artistes); LouisaFever is enjoying a good rotation of her music video for the song on most of the Ghanaian television channels.
In a response, LousiaFever says “I’m not competing with anybody, I’m sure we all love what we do and have chosen to do it that is why we are singing dancehall for the people. Doing dancehall has been an art which I have grown up with to love and do years back. Lady Saw has always been my inspiration so I have stayed behind the scenes shaping myself and engaging in a lot of training to master the art. I love dancehall; hearing a dancehall or reggae riddim gives me the drive to create something on it. I am a versatile artiste that is why I do other genres like RnB, Afropop, HipHop, Hiplife and other genres. I think my other female counterparts who are doing the same thing as me are unique in their own separate ways.
They have their diverse strengths and styles so I would not underrate any of them. I am not in for competition. I’m still promoting fever which is my debut single and working on a remix as well. To my fans, they should keep loving and supporting me and I will give them my best and would not disappoint them. Without them there is no Louisafever and therefore no excitement. I love them nuff.”
LouisaFever is still working in studio on some other projects. She hails from Northern Ghana and has featured a couple of times in a popular Ghanaian teledrama called “Home Sweet Home”.
