
Bredren B, born Joseph Kweku Ntiamoah on Wednesday 3rd September 1980 to a Christian family of five (5) in the eastern mountainous region of Ghana, (West Africa) in a town called New Tafo and graduated as a professional Electrical and Telecom Engineer with higher national diploma.
As a natural talented sportsman, throughout all levels of his education he represented and won several regional and national trophies for his schools in the table tennis and football fields.
His parents both devoted Christians drew him to music during his early stages of life when his mother will occasionally sing at church and his father a passionate bass guitarist.
He generated an uncontrollable love for melodies echoing from musical instruments in his church, he got close to the church choir and started learning to play the acoustic guitar. At this time, he also started skipping morning gatherings and devotion service at school to listen to a trunk of music collections his father had brought from Nigeria during his tour as a bassist for the Music Band he performed with.
He started creating his own rhythms by first writing and sharing songs with his school colleagues. Surprisingly, his colleagues embraced his new found talent with an invigorating enthusiasm. They started creating platforms for him to perform during and after school hours.
This affected his image in school highly considering his excelling performance in the academic and sports field; he was nicknamed BULLDOZER by his friends as a result of his ability to combine all these talents successfully.
His early exposure and love for African traditional instruments united with an extraordinary voice clarity and tongue twisting abilities in the Dancehall, Reggae and Rap genres crowned him the King of Underground music (ASASEASE (in Twi, Ghanaian Local Language))during his senior and tertiary levels of education.
Whilst training and building on his voice and stage techniques for a major career take-off in the show business, African artistes like Atongo Zimba, Ghana, Sirleaf Keita, Mali, Sizzla Kalonji, Bob Marley all of Jamaica amongst others inspired him to endeavor in all genres of music originating from Africa.
Coming from a strong Christian background, Bredren B always loved and wishes to spread God’s message, morality, charity, peace, unity and love to the world through this very important medium. To accomplish this, he unlimited himself to Music and nurtured his die passion for acting, Radio and Television broadcasting.
Each new obstacle on his path inspired and gave him new strength to push and bring to light his positive and charitable agenda, to kick-start these projects, he joined voluntary teaching programme in villages to educate the ready but needy school children. He composed and performed inspiring tunes the school children during their leisure times.
Bredren B launched his major solo career with two (2) Singles, Adwoa Fowaah and Life in 2010. The songs were originally produced in Ghana.
Akwaaba Films Unit, Africa, a Revolutionary Ghanaian independent Filmmaking, Television Production, Talent Escort and Event management unit which he jointly founded, collaborated with Misko Iho a creative Filmmaker and Music video director from Finland to shoot a high definition quality video for the two songs on the Busia beach Island in the western region of Ghana. “Bredren B rose from the east to the west, left the rest and came out with the best.
Bredren B established “THE A.B.C. Project”, a meritorious charitable program drawn to find solutions to basic needs of Life; Water, Food and Education.
The 1bag per child project, a branch of the program initiated to provide school materials to needy but ready school children was launched during the video shoot at Busia and Butre villages by Misko Iho, the music video director as he raised funds back home in Finland to provide school materials to over 100 children in these deprived communities.
He also fathers Bredren B Life Foundation, a non-profitable organization with positive focus of providing educational materials to school children in rural communities, supply clean drinking water and also drill water boreholes to communities without access to clean water, empower the youth into Agriculture, support and promote talented underground entertainers and swiftly respond to charitable calls.
In November 2010, Upsetta Records International and Slanted Black Records based in Vermont, Burlington, USA announced an agreement to work alongside the rising International Reggae Star, Bredren B out of Ghana, West Africa as they release a massive project.
The soon to be hit singles include "Life" "Adwoa Fowaah" and "Mr. Big Man" - which will also be released with various world class, electronic remixes followed with series of tours and collaboration’s with World Beat Producers including Jam Master Jay in Ghana, Dante Vezina and Craig Mitchell of Upsetta Records in USA, Niki Da Kid, Elus, Bruno of Brundai Records in UK, Keith Ruddock of King Tubby Foundation in Jamaica and USA, Kofi Ackah in Canada, Home grown Classic, , Kaywa and Hammer.
Bredren B is soon to release collaboration with TRIBORO a HipHop group in New York, USA, Karem Nesta Lion – France, Kingly T – USA, Laura Luke, Trigmatic, Stoneboy Burninton, Kwadee, Samini and other exciting musicians.
Bredren B is the only African reggae artiste featured alongside Jamaican reggae star I-Octane, Collie Budz amongst others on the much anticipated Bomboflow riddim soon to hit the world reggae dancehall lovers. Go to www.upsettarecords.blogspot.com.
