ReeZon is poised to become one of Ghana’s leading rap voices in 2010 with the release of his debut album I Am The ReeZon… which is the culmination of the last 5 years of commitment and dedication to his craft. In this short period, the fans-appointed “Prince of Ghana” has gone from participating in and winning talent shows, as well as producing songs in college, to becoming an outspoken, empowered emcee with a maturity that belies the infancy of his career.

He has evolved from a young African child on the streets of Ghana to a lyrical giant currently based in the US, but with his heart firmly planted in Ghana and Africa.

History will be made at the Accra International Conference Centre on April 10, 2010, when for the first time, someone who has never released a song or an album, picks an award at the eleventh edition of the prestigious Ghana Music Awards.

The person, who is widely expected to set that record in the history of the Ghana Music Awards, is the multi-talented instrumentalist, lyricist and silky voiced Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr. He is expected to pick the award for Song Writer of the Year.

You may have never heard of him, he may not be on the front page of websites or covers of magazines or featured on Allo TiGo, Rhythmz TV yet, but that’s his style – he’s making an entry slowly.
