Every now and then a new artist comes along that has the ability to shake things up in the music industry, Anthea Coker is that artist. Hailing from Ghana, the prolific singer-songwriter’s new music video - 'I Worship You' music video is doing well on YouTube.

Ghana Music.com caught up with the beautiful budding artist to discuss her new album, challenges of being a new artist, vocal influences, and much more. Get into the interview below.

Ghana Music.com: How long have you been singing?
Anthea Coker: Well when it comes to singing I always done that right from secondary school through out till now so I would say since infancy.

Ghana Music.com: Why gospel. Out of all the different types of music you could have sang, why do you have a passion for gospel music?
Anthea Coker: Gospel music because it's what I can relate to more because of my believes as a christian, I personally believe we were created to worship.

Ghana Music.com: Do you write your own songs?
Anthea Coker: Yes all my songs were written by me through the inspirations of the Holy Spirit.

Ghana Music.com: What do you hope for your music to accomplish?
Anthea Coker: Well I don't want people to just listen to my music because they like the instrumentation or because its nicely arranged, but I really want people to experience the presence of God, for their souls and spirits to be ministered to and also to receive healing where they are hurting.

Ghana Music.com: Tell us about the moment when you decided that music was something that you wanted to do with your life.
Anthea Coker: I have always done music, I started in church then went circular then back to gospel simply because I know that's what God requires from me to worship with my instrument my voice.

Ghana Music.com: How did it feel like when you were recording your first song and how was the response from friends and family?
Anthea Coker: I had total peace in my heart, a mixture of peace and joy and I knew this was right, I was so relaxed and at peace. I just wanted to do it right by God!.

Ghana Music.com: What can your fans expect from your new album/single, how will it differ from your previous one?
Anthea Coker: Well my previous songs were circular and this is gospel so there is a clear difference between the two so people should expect the presence of God.

Ghana Music.com: What has been the best moment and worst moment of your career?
Anthea Coker: The best moment was when I said Yes to God, Yes in doing what He wants me to do and the worse was when I didn't know of my destiny cause I spent so many years going around the circle and over working my self when destiny was right in front of me. It wasn't that bad then cause I didn't know what I was supposed to do but when I look back now I can say it was my worse.

Ghana Music.com: What do you think is the biggest misconception about gospel artists?
Anthea Coker: I know or should I say at least I've heard that people have this myth about gospel singers that they are boring and religious and almost don't have a life cause of this christian thing but that is a lie from the pit of hell to stop people from answering to the call, at the end of the day you don't have to be slow or timid to do gospel, my bible says when the spirit of the Lord comes upon you it shall quicken your mortal bodies.

Ghana Music.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
Anthea Coker: Yes I have many but will tell you a few I actually studied fashion at university for two years, I'm also a vocal coach and the author of the Pitch vocal singing manual and the Pitch Vocal training manual and many more which I will tell you another time.

Ghana Music.com: Any last word for your fans?
Anthea Coker: Find your purpose and stick to it and you will understand and appreciate life more and more.
