Kimina: It's exciting, entertaining, real and gets you dancing but most importantly, it has a message that it sends to the listener; from love, fashion, education but not indoctrination, all the way down to social issues which one can relate to on a day to day basis.
Ghana Music.com: How is the upcoming album coming along?
Kimina: The album is on point. I do everything possible only by God’s grace so I can't complain. I love all the new ideas and variety of styles as well as different genres. It is almost done and I can't wait for people to hear them and explore the different things I am capable of.
Ghana Music.com: You started making your album over some years now. How has it evolved since the original concept?

Kimina: This year is surely my year. I was born on the 12th of September so I always believe in the number 12, 2012. I don’t intend using sex appeal, but rather, my talent to the extreme. Ghana Music.com: What’s your earliest memory of music?
Kimina: My earliest memory of music was partaking in rap battles, way back in JSS (Motown), all thru to SSS (St.Roses Sec Sch, Akwatia). One vacation in 2001, I was called up by one sound engineer called Okusie. His studio was at Lapaz n they invited me for a studio test because they claimed to have heard of me and that I was dope. I then decided to give it a try and believe it or not, I ended up writing and recording my first two songs. One Gospel song, and one RnB. The first was entitled, 'O Lord', Jesus, Son Of God', I still love it till today. The 2nd was entitled, ‘Ma Boo’, still the Ish.
Ghana Music.com: If you had to describe your trademark sound to an alien who had never heard your kind of music before, what would you tell them?
Kimina: Imma just tell them it's simply versatility. Kimina can do any kind of genre of music. Challenge her with dance hall, hip-Hop, soul, lovers rock, country, RnB and cools. Once its music, Trust, trust its Kiminaaaaaa. Remember that you will will never be disappointed.
Ghana Music.com: Talk us through your three favourite tracks from your new album?
Kimina: The first one would be 'Move Yuh Body', Kimina featuring IWAN. This tune spread like a virus. Mehnnn, everyone was just moving to it wherever they heard it. This song is a part of my immediate promo songs so you should look out for it.
The second favourite would be, 'Twisted' by Kimina featuring Kay Tee (Gideon Force). This tells a story about how men lie to their women. The different kind of scenarios and tactics they use to deceive their chicks. It is definitely an interesting piece one should look out for. Love it.
The last but not the least favorite song would be 'Kimina' featuring Lil Shaker (Skillions). This is a mix of both foreign and local slang. It in a conversational form. Very lovely piece about love Warnings. It hilarious and interesting at the same time.
However, I have a lot of favourites, such as the one I stated earlier, Ghana 9JA- Kimina featuring INKrizzZ. Infact, I love all the tracks on mi album. Find them all on Ghana Music.com.
