I love musical beef but that was in the late 90s and early 2000s at a time when beefing was most relevant due to one’s curiosity to listen to the dirt one artiste was saying to the other and it was fun to listen to these artistes do battle lyrically.

Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, aka D-Black is arguably the most hardworking artiste in Ghana – check, he is one of the most-internationally recognized Ghanaian artistes across the world – check, he is one of the best business-minded artistes in Ghana – check and he is one of the wackiest, the most boring stage performers in Ghana – check check hallelujah! (Apologies to Akosua Agyepong).

I acknowledge that Jam Master Jay (JMJ) is one of the inventive young producers in the country – but seriously, which producer in this era will call himself Jam Master Jay?

I don’t espouse break-ups in music groups but I have also realized that it is an inevitable phenomenon that transpires within the entertainment industry.
