In spite of the several controversies that have surrounded his musical career over the years, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, otherwise known as Daddy Lumba easily stands out as the country’s most prolific song writer, singer and producer in recent memory.

As has been trademark over the years, Daddy Lumba has just released onto the market his latest album entitled ‘Ahenfo Kyine’, which is expected to be used by music lovers during the impending Xmas and New Year celebrations.

This year in general and the album in particular, according to close associates of the musician, are special to him because apart from the album being his number twenty release, Daddy Lumba turned 40 and celebrates his twentieth marriage anniversary this year.

Unlike other musicians who struggle to put together a single song, Daddy Lumba currently boasts of about five albums which are complete and are waiting to be released as and when he decides to.

The ‘Ahenfo Kyinie’ album which is presently receiving massive radio airplay across the country, consists of several fascinating and danceable tunes that come with the usual Daddy Lumba rhythm and the smooth silky voice.

The current album is also memorable to the extent that Daddy Lumba features one of Ghana’s greatest musicians, Pat Thomas, whose soothing voice adds colour to the songs. Some of the albums Daddy Lumba has released over the include ‘Obi Ato Meso Boo’, ‘Sika Asem’, ‘Ohia Asem’, ‘Odo Foforo’, ‘Sesee Wo Se’, ‘Áben Wo Ha’, ‘Adepa Mu’, ‘Poison’, among several others.
