Veeda is hot and she knows it. But she seems to flaunt her hotness in a responsible way, embracing her own sexuality without allowing it to be exploited.
Her self-assurance shows in her expression, attitude, poise and dressing.
Veeda has always credited her father, mother and siblings for providing her with a positive and supportive environment. “My Father noticed my love for music in my early ages and did everything in his power to make sure I didn’t lose it. He also made it clear to have my education first, in which I did.
And also to be who I really want to be; and that’s being an artist”, she said.
Born into the Akuapem family tree, Veeda began singing at the age of seven years at church in front of a large congregation. Her soft voice has made her tour with artistes such as Ofori Amponsah, Francis Adjei, and top Francophone artistes in the diaspora.
The idea about been a beauty queen was not a ‘pleasant thing’ when Veeda was growing up to which she hated. Surprisingly, in 2002 as fate would have its way on her, she won Miss Ghana USA 2002 and is now convinced that beauty pageants are not as bad as she thought it was.
The past Miss Ghana USA also holds a degree in Computer Information Systems.
She has a hiplife & R&B album with hit singles “Bribi Yaa Ye Me”, “Please Forgive Me” and “African King”. It features Ghana’s own Babashanti, Disastrous, Red Eye of 2 Toff and more. But is currently being repackaged.
Veeda is a well-liked and respected face in USA, Ghana, Nigeria, Canada, UK and other countries because of her role she executed well in “My American Nurse I” which was directed by Hollywood, filmmaker, writer and producer Nigerian born Pascal Atuma.
Veeda has already starred in movies like My American Nurse (I), Virginia Is For Lovers, I Surrender All, Crossing Path (I), Capital Blues, Ladies In The City, Hidden Romance and Quest For Money (Big Brother) and Shirley Frimpong Manso’s new movie - Checkmate.
Veeda has two world class music videos of her maiden album, ‘Destiny’. They are lead single, “Bribi Yaaye Me” and “Please Forgive Me”.
Veeda intends to work more and raise resources for her charity labelled “Change Charity” which solely seeks to help foster kids in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
