BIOGRAPHY
Fuad Mohammed a.k.a Moe S.B.W was born on November 1st in Accra, the capital of Ghana and was raised in Nima; one of the roughest slums in Accra. He came to the U.S in 2000 yet went back to complete his degree at Accra High School in 2001. During this time his uncle "Ali Congress" introduced him to a dance hall/reggae artist called Cocoa Tea; it was through this interaction that his passion for music arose. He began exploring different genres of music; music he could related to and was inspired by. He began his self-education of music by being attentive to a songs' lyrics, delivery and concept.
He returned to the U.S and resided in New York for two years, however, fell in love with Chicago and decided to make it his home away from home.
His move to Chicago would prove fruitful as he would meet people who be instrumental in shaping his musical career. He first encountered Cambodia and Young Vim, two up and coming ghanaian artists; through this encounter, he met Mobeatz, a talented producer who he would later produce his album Amazing.
From there, he would meet and collaborate with other talented artists: A Moe, Blackup, Kudjo, Reezon,Tox and others whose talent refueled his passion for music and inspired him to actively pursue his passion. Simulatenously, he partnered with his childhood friend from Nima, Kamal Ibrahim, and through a chance meeting with Daduwa (a Ghanaian artiste) and started the production company NIMAVIBES, (www.NV.com).
Taking inspiration from Reggie Rockstone, Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Jah Cure, Sarkodie, R2b=Bees, Wanluv, M3NSA, Stephen Marley and Cocoa Tea, he completed and released his debut album Amazing on August 1st 2010. The album reveals personal stories and accounts experiences that has shaped his journey through life and love.
The album was received with positive reviews which opened up opportunities for him to perform with the legend KOdjo Antwi; this would begin his caterpolt to the top of the industry.
