BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Ampong Is a Gospel Singer/Song Writer with a passion to spread the Word of God through music. She believes that in these challenging times, with chaos all around us, we need the true Word that will encourage us that THERE IS STILL HOPE and that LIFE IS STILL WORTH LIVING. If we can trust the Creator of life He will help us live life successfully even in the midst of adversities.

Elizabeth started singing at the age of 6, when her dad placed her on a chair to sing a hymn “Oh God of Bethel” at her Grandma’s funeral. A lot of lives were touched at that day. Growing up, she has been serving in many different capacities in church, but mostly, song ministering.

Elizabeth is anointed with the gift of leading God’s people in Praise & Worship. With her unique soft but powerful voice and a heart of worship – you will be inspired to ponder on the goodness and mercies of God – and the result will be you just reaching out to God blessing His name for who He is and thereby being assured of hope for your future because of The God you serve.

Elizabeth believes that life is a gift from God and that we are stewards of this gift. Therefore, our lives must be to the complete pleasure of our Creator who gave it to us.

Because after all is said and done we will one day stand before Him to give an account of what we did with the life that He gave us. This is the concept that pushes Elizabeth to surrender her life as a worship to God.

She believes worship is a way of life and that it comes from within. Our Praise and Worship (Psalms, Hymns, & Songs) must flow as a result of our meditation of Who God is, and also our holy lives we live for Him.

“When one lives a life of worship his/her song does not need any mechanical force to push it to God – it just flows and smells good before God and to all who hear it” says Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is a blessed wife of Charles Horace Ampong, who is also her Pastor at International Central Gospel Church in Chicago, where she ministers Praise & Worship.
They are blessed with two beautiful girls, Liza and Debi.

Shout for Joy: Elizabeth released her Debut Album “Shout for Joy” in July 2012. All nine (9) songs on the album was composed by her. She says the album was composed by inspiration of the Spirit of God. It contains the Word of God that will inspire and uplift its listeners.

The core message is about the love of God and His ability to turn situations around if only we can trust in Him. It helps its listener to reflect on the goodness of God and based on that break forth into singing and overcome the temptation of bowing to their problems. In this situation you have nothing to do than to SHOUT FOR JOY because you know WITH GOD YOU HAVE OVERCOME.

It is geared towards all ages and nationalities. It has many different rhythms – Reggae, RnB, Highlife, Raga, etc. – Its listeners will definitely find stuff they love in the album. Every song on the album has a capacity to move and inspire one from deep within no matter their situation.
