Some of the nation’s best-known artistes will be in action at the Accra Mall on Saturday, October 4 as mobile telecommunications provider MTN celebrates its first year of existence in this country.

The concert will feature Samini, Kojo Antwi, Kofi B, Oheneba Kisi, the Ramblers International Band, Reggie Rockstone and Tic Tac.

George Kojo Andah, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, who gave information about the concerts at a press briefing at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra, said the shows would be held with the support of Charter House, ShowTime Entertainment, TV3 and the Accra Mall.

He said anybody familiar with MTN would appreciate that the company believes in excellence and also celebrates success. It therefore deems it important to celebrate excellence in music as part of the celebration of the MTN brand.

Another concert will be held in Takoradi on Friday, October 10, 2008 to keep vigil ahead of the Black Stars qualification of the World Cup.

Andah described the upcoming shows as ‘the first ever fully locally- produced world-class party.’
