Soul legend Isaac Hayes planned in his will to leave part of his estate to his foundation, which promotes literacy, music and nutrition.

In the will filed this week in Probate Court, Hayes split his estate between his wife, Adjowa, his children and the Isaac Hayes Foundation.

The Commercial Appeal in Memphis reported the value and contents of his estate has not yet been filed. Part of his humanitarian work included building a school in Ghana.

The deep-voiced soul singer was 65 when he died Aug. 10 after he was found unconscious at his Memphis residence.

The baldheaded crooner, who laid the groundwork for disco and whose “Theme From Shaft” won both Academy and Grammy awards, was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. He also acted in movies and provided the voice of Chef, the school cook, on the animated TV show “South Park.”
