After a rousing gospel music show in Kumasi recently to mark its 16th anniversary and to thank God for a peaceful rule since January 2001, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to repeat the Kumasi excitement with another gospel splash in Takoradi dubbed NPP Praise 2.
The gospel concert, which will be held at the T-Poly Park tomorrow Friday, will precede a party rally and congress on Saturday.
The NPP and its supporters will be served with danceable tunes from Christiana Love, Phillipa Baafi, Ohemaa Mercy, Pastor Josh Laryea and Kwaku Gyasi. Other artistes on the bill are Ernestina Conney, Edna Sarpong, Rev Charlie Sam, Pastor Joe Beecham, Amy Newman, No Tribe, Cee and Moses OK.
Pastor Josh Laryea, the concert co-ordinator said the audience, politicians and the musicians enjoyed the Kumasi show very much and he is not surprised that another ‘political’ gospel show has been lined up.
Nana Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer and and his colleague politicians could not stay in their seats at the last show. They were up dancing to the infectious tunes and a similar situation is expected to happen tomorrow at the show which is expected to be the biggest ever gathering of known gospel singers in Takoradi.
