Following the success of his previous and maiden album, Ernest Yaw Osei, a.k.a Rev. Possible has come out with the Volume 2 which he has dubbed Nyame So Vol. 2.
The young man’s unflinching desire to pursue his dream of becoming one of the best gospel musicians in the country and a celebrity with a goodwill mission for his community, has not deviated from his cool-tempo worship style of music.
This second one contains much the same style of sing with about an hour-long stretch of worship song intercepted with motivational talk and prayerful singing. However, this second album consists of songs which would easily send one into a prayerful mood.
All the songs, according to Ernest, are a means of telling the world how great God is and how quick he is to come to the aid of those who trust in Him.. “I wish to raise money through these albums to do something for young people who might have gone through the hardships I went through during my childhood” he said.
Ernest recounts his Junior Secondary School days at Christ Preparatory School in Koforidua at the age of 13 when his father, Mr. Osei Kwadwo, faced a tragic accident caused by a fire outbreak and had to be inactive for years.
Whiles his father stayed in the hospital awaiting urgent surgery, Ernest, being the third of five children, had to support his mother, Madam Felicia Nketia to raise funds for the operation and cater for the needs of the family at the same time.
Ernest started washing cars at filling stations to make money to cater for his younger sibblings’ school fees, food and clothing whiles his elder siblings helped their mother on the side. “ I would come home from school, change and go for my job” He did this job till he completed Koforidua secondary Technical School where he pursued a Visual Arts course.
After his father was released from the hospital, Ernest expressed his desire to go to the Kumasi Polytechnic where he gained his support to study Textile Designing. “The road has not been easy but I never gave up because my hardship actually motivated me to work harder.”
He hopes to further bring out more works which would hit the music market by storm in the near future.
