The Police Band last Saturday backed the Tema Youth Choir in a Live Classical Hiplife Concert, held at the National Theatre, in Accra.
It featured some of the nation’s renowned musicians.
They included the National Symphony Orchestra and the Blues Hiplife Bank who entertained the audience with hiplife songs.
Group Captain (rtd) Frank Okyne, chairman of Musicians Promotion Foundation, said the ceremony attracted over 100 musicians from two mass orchestral professional bands — the renowned National Symphony Orchestra and the Tema Youth Choir group.
He said the programme was to celebrate Ghana’s successful hosting of the African Cup of Nations tournament, Ghana 2008.
He congratulated the Black Stars on their sterling performance that won them and the country the bronze.
