Come Monday December 24, Ofori Amponsah and friends will entertain music fans at a live musical concert at the National Theatre.
The much-awaited concert, dubbed “Ghana Rocks With Ofori Amponsah And Friends” is being organized to celebrate good Ghanaian music with Ofori Amponsah, a multiple award winner at the Ghana Music Awards for two consecutive years, and others including the ‘Alhaji Man’ from La Cote D’Ivoire, Jeff Bogologobo.
One of Ghana’s hottest sensations in gospel music, Lenny Akpadie would also be there and so would Shasha Marley, Daasebre Dwamena, Kwaw Kesse, Kofi B and others.
These artistes are set to rock the National Theatre come Monday, to usher in Christmas through good Ghanaian music.
On the other hand, Kojo Antwi, ‘the music man’, who is known for his annual December 24 musical concert where most of his fans turn up to have a direct feel of him on stage, has thrown in the towel, giving Ofori the green light on 24th night.
Kojo’s intention not to perform has given his fans the impression that it is because he feels he would be ignored by music fans as he has nothing new on the music market.
Not much has been heard from Kojo Antwi himself or his management team about his decision not to perform.
Over the years, Ofori Amponsah has remained faithful in Ghanaian highlife and has each year released hit songs that continue to top the charts. He has a large repertoire of music that can entertain fans for hours anytime he mounts the stage.
It would be recalled that same time last year, Ofori Amponsah rocked fans when he had his maiden Christmas bash at the National Theatre, where he treated thousands of fans to danceable tunes from his award winning albums.
Selling at GH¢30, tickets are currently available at Koala, Joy FM, Charterhouse and the National Theatre. The event is sponsored by Onetouch and supported by Joy FM, TV3 and 4Syte TV.

I MEAN LEAVE THE GAME FOR THE YOUNG MAN. AIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
is all good.but hey watch out for scizo latest.is a born shell.i bet you.scizo and kwaw kesse on the block.
Good, good, good!!! Kojo Antwi is a respected Legend 4 Life. Ofori is very good but not any way close to Kojo. Kojo left it 4 him cos there’s no need 2 compete with Ofori. Kojo Antwi is known world wide and Ofori is trying to get there. Ghanaian’s will lift u up very high and drop u to ground very hard. Its Ofori’s time and I wish him the best luck to stay around for a very long time like the great legends. “Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba” etc. Its the samething here. Ofori knows well that he’s better than Nana Quame n so he don’t need any competition to prove it. Kojo Antwi n majority of Ghanaians also knows Kojo n Lumba to be the best of all time. If there shd be a competition, it shd be btwn Ofori n Daasebre Gyamena.
NANA QUAME IS CRAZY, I THINK WHO KNOWS HIM IN GHANA MUSIC.
