  • Dont get me wrong i think this song sounds good, but i wont be satisfied without pointing out some flaws.
1.The other guys is starting to sound more and more like akon and that is fine, but does he have to steal his stuff too. WHAT HAPPENED TO CREATIVITY

2.Papi never ceases to amaze me, the wack lyrics that he is always spitting. Let me quote some of his lyrics “my hair wavy, black tee maybe with my shades on like ray charlie.” I can write a book about his lyrics in this video, but i will stop here. Anyways does anyone unerstand what i just quoted means, if you do holla at me asap. Also you know an artist has no talent when he has to change someone’s name to rhyme, i mean who the heck is ray charlie(ray charles?)

3.Was it me or was that girls lips scary, not that i have anything against big lips but i just didnt get what she was doing with her lips. But i must say that she has a beautiful voice. Out of the three i think she is the most talented.

This song is just like the state of hip hop, nice beat, well shot video, very entertaining but no substance.

  • Response to Nana B
The video is tuff no lie… Nana B U said u aint feelin Papi’s rhymes. my hair wavy, black tee maybe with my shades on like ray charlie.” In the Hip hop/hiplife world. I don’t think its all about the sickest rhynmes or what u can say.But its about how u say it. Papi has his own swagga that ppl are feeling…The whole point am makin is. it aint about the rhymes. It’s how u say it.I mean how long as Papi being in the game. It plays a role too. Who knows he might get better or maybe not…

  • yea am feelin you on this (Kidd Blitz aka Dada Ba Carter).you know most people say tictac don’t say shit when it comes to lyrics but can someone tell me why he always hit when he drops an album.you know sometin, music we know started with rythme and melodys not words(lyrics).so if you have got the talent to creat nice rythmes and melodys you will surely make it, even if your lyrics sucks.can someone tell me why jin (the chinese raper)is one of the best mc’s but still can’t make real hits.i mean who cares ,how many music consumers listern to lyrics about 30%.so i will advise all good lyricist who still can make hits to go into poem writing.

  • I watched the 55 Miss Malaika perfomance. And i must say i was very sad. For the first time i was actually rooting for 55, but their performance kept getting worse and worse.
    1. They were lip synching throughout the song, and first of all you can tell they didnt even know the words to the songs cuss they were mumbling jibrish
    2. Does 55 understand originality, why are they using sean paul’s dance, thats crazy. You guys are artists not fans so you gotta do your own stuff.
    3. The performance really proved that this group has no talent, i recently went to a concert of a ghanaian artist and i was blown away. Everything was live, no lip synching no shady business. Now thats what you call talent.

KID BLITZ you are in the diaspora so to some extent we share a common perspective when a ghanaian artists act something they not. I am surprised though when you say certain things, you always misunderstand me for some reason. I said that Papi comes up with wack lyrics not rhymes. The problem with Papi is that he tries to rhyme and in the process he ends up not making sense to those especially in the diaspora. In the process of rhyming he comes up with very bad lyrics like “when i kick a freestyle i am horny,” and i really dont see the swaga you talking about KID BLITZ.

  • Nana B, do you need a job as an A&R? your criticisms are the best on the site. the music biz is funny in Gh if you ask me. i spent about 8 months vibing with “industry” folks and meeting some new up and comers. trust me they have over a 1000 kids better than 5′5, but for some reason you never hear any material from them. im projecting in the next few years the music will get better…. there will be imitators like 5′5(the guy who sings tries to sound like a cross b/n Akon and R. Kelly, not sure if anybody has noticed)and people who will blow you away like kochoko, Asem, Akwadaa and a lot more. originality is lacking mose def…..but i guess these are attempts to go “international”(whatever that means.

Definitely keep up your good work of calling a spade a spade. link up sometime.

  • Nana U trying to hard to be a good critic, keep on and u will get there. My advise is that do it constructively. 50cent does not say anything but he sells more than Common who has all the conscious lyrics. Music is art, and art is an inward feeling outdoored. And about Killi’s lines, he borrowed some part of a tune 4rm Akon and did not steel his lyrics. (Listen Closely). Akon’s firts big hit “Lonely” is an old song he did again and got him very high on the world musical charts. He continued with his new one “Nobody wanna see us together” He combined Bob Marley and R.Kelly’s tunes and made a beautiful song out of it. Pls lets appreciate n dont hate. About the Maliaka performance u r the only one talking trash, 50cent, Akon, The Game just to mention a few sing over CD all the time. Even Micheal Jackson one of the world’s greatest acts does not perform live. On papi’s lyrics he’s been real about himself, he got wavey hair what s wrong if he says it. On that horny line it goes like this: Tits(breasts) like microphone makes me wanna kick freestyle i’m horny. what’s wrong with that? The short form 4 Charles is Charlie. Pls there’s nothing original in this world. U take something and modify it to be yours thats it. Fisrt car made has 4 tyres the lastest on the market has 4 tyres too nothing changed just the model. Pls

  • Seven pls if don’t have anything to say dony open your mouth. Let the cats who have talent more than 5Five come, it’s no competition. We need them to make game exciting and note Gentlman sings like Sizla. Pls lets be proud of our own, 5Five is not the best they are trying allow them to grow.

  • Wise i really am not trying to be a critic i just say things the way i see them. Seven is giving me too much credit, and even ghanamusic has started using some of my comments and i must say that i am flattered.

Wise you try to make a lot excuses for 55 and that is fine, you may personally like them so it is understandable. The first thing you said was that Killi borrowed stuff from Akon, you seem to be advicing me about being a constructive critic but what exactly does borrowing lyrics mean and how is it different from stealing. What i mean by stealing akons “stuff” in the video is, killi says a word i believe is “j.lo” am not sure. But the way he says it is identical to the way akon says it. You can “borrow” his word but you cant steal the way he sings it too, thats not being creative.

As for the ms. malaika performance i think i already made my point so i will like everyone to take a look at this.

This is a mark of talent.

  • U did not say anything about Akon singing somebody’s song and making it a hit. R Kelly sings like Ron Isley, Gentleman sings like Sizla. Just zip up man and u r right Killi seys J’Lo. Gorilla Black sounds and raps exactly like Notorious BIG, it doesn’t mean Gorilla is not talented. There two of us in every part of the world. Pls bring on constructive criticisms.

  • Lol Wise i can tell you really passionate about 55 and like i stated earlier thats cool though. For some reason i think your english teacher died a bit early so you have problems comprehending english, and stop telling me to give constructive criticism cuss i am only telling my mind. Focus on the videos not on me and stop putting words in my mouth.

Ok if you read my first comment i said that there is nothing wrong with sounding like someone, but chale you have to implement your own uniqueness too. How can you start using the person’s stuff like that “j.lo” i was talking about i know akon has said something similar in one of his songs. I mean it really isnt about the word but the way he says it, there is no distinction between the way killi and akon, that shouldnt be the case. Even the way killi dances in the video, it is quite similar to akon. Wise that may be what you view as being creative, and i disagree so let me talk my mind too. Saying that somehow certain things are done in the world isnt justification for not looking for uniqueness in your artist, if you ask me we are selling ourself short.
I am done on this subject, Wise please focus on the videos.

  • Akon said ghetto and not J’lo listen closely. R. Kelly sings like Ron Isley and Gorilla Black just like Notorious BIG. And about english comprehension you don’t tell your mind you speak it. Read wide.
