Funny people! we know how you do what? be yourself’s and stop copying other cultures. lol
I am speechless, a part of me wants to laugh, the other part wants to take this video serious. I guess ghanaians view this as the only way to take songs international. So the only thing i would say is that we need to make songs that are reflective of reality in ghana. This song makes absolutely no sense, but i think the video in general is well shot. We need to reflect on the positive and negative issues in ghana, saying “this how we do it” accomplishes nothing. We need some substance behind our songs.
THis video is of the chain. The CHick Tiffany got sum madd skillz. And of course Richie did his thang too. But damn man the shortie is fyne as hell.As for Nana B I agree with sum of ur points that u made. However, Just cuz they livin in ghana dat doesnt mean dat they can’t switch up their swagga. This song would blow up In the States , Canada & UK if she was popular.Overall she did her thang..Tiffany should hook up with Becca. I think together, they would set the ghana music on fire.PPL IT’S TIME WE START SUPPORTING THE FEMALE ARTISTS.THEY DESERVE it.

I DONT GET IT COS SHE IS TRYING TO LOOK SEXY AND SHE’S NOT COS SHE’S GOT A BIG BELLY,GIRL WORK OUT AND DO A BETTER SONG IN OUR LOCAL DIALECT COS THIS WONT GET U ANYWHERE COS U CAN’T SING BETTER THAT BEYONCE OR EVEN RIHANA
i waited for others to express their opinion before i came in. i didn’t want to be attacked being labeled as mr. critic. now I’m free to add my personal opinion. i only saw about 10 seconds of this thing they call music video but there is no doubt that it is a complete joke. no originality what-so-ever. it is copycat work from A to Z. absolutely no talent. ghanamusic should take it down before the entire ghana becomes a laughing stock. jesus christ!
PLSE WAT R YALL TALKING ABOUT….THIS IS A CLUB SONG…WHO CARES IF IT DOESNT REFLECT GHANAIAN CULTURE…I THINK YALL R OLD SCHOOL PPLE..DATS WHY YALL DONT LIKE IT,LOL… THERE R SOO MANY THINGS PPL DO DAT DO NOT REFLECT THEIR CULTURE…BUT WHEN GHANAIANS R DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT ALL PPLE DO IS COMPLAIN..ITS ANNOYING..SO DO ALL GHANAIAN ARTISTS A FAVOR AND LET THEM DO WAT THEY GOTTA DO TO SUCCEED…CUZ MOST GHANAIANS DONT BUY THE CD’S BUT OTHER PPL WANT TO BUY THEM BUT THEY DONT UNDERSTAND IT..SO LEAVE THEM ALONE OR BUY THEIR CD’S…IM JUST TIRED OF PPLE COMPLAINING…DO UR THANG GURL…NICE VID AND MA MAN RICHIE…I SEE U R JUST GREAT SO KEEP IT UP…LOVE THE SONG
Foolish no name guy shut the hell up. if u love love africa why u sounding like that. u a fake ass african american if u r. if u sure r african america y don’t u tell ur people to stop the violence and start loving one another. African americans, they too don’t like for anybody to climb up they hate each other. Matter of fact I HATE AFRICAN AMERICANS. they get on my nerve.
any way i think its a stupid song my god people we need to sing about reality like poverty, diseases, suffering. and we get stupid people like this singing about nothing. i dont know if she was rapping but that was wack.
THIS SONG SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS…EWWWWWWWW.WHY DID THEY WASTE THEIR MONEY
NO NAME def got some points. this song is definitely a joke. club song or not…when you sing off key you shouldnt be recorded. and please don’t blame richie….it’s business mannn!
anyway to NO NAME..look for “in ghana”, a track by wanlov on youtube. get at me.
SEVEN!
Wow NO NAME i am touched by your comments. If you in fact are African American, i would like to first of all praise you for even trying to learn about your history. Its hard to find African Americans willing to learn about their history. You know the hate that exists among black people across the world is not something that can be blamed on us. All the blame has to go towards the white man and the way he instilled in black people in the past and some cases presently the idea of hate. Through colonization and slavery, black people became accustomed to being inferior and looking toward the white man as the voice of reason. In public schools all across America when an African American sees you as being from Africa they ask you “did you live on trees”, “did you wear clothes in Africa” “did you fight lions.” All these are propaganda that the white men fed to America when first of all suppressing their abilities in America during the pre civil rights and using it as representation of blacks being brutes in justification of slavery. This propaganda has been accepted by black people to mean that they are infact inferior. This inferiority has made us hate each other because we see our skin as making us less human, hence we start viewing our own kind us “monkeys who live on trees”,”lions in the wild who fight their kind”, “brutes who walk around without clothing.” The idea of viewing ourselves throgh the eyes of white people is referred to as “double consciousness.”
Anyone interested in truly reading about “double consciousness” should check out W.E.B. DuBois book Souls Of Black Folk. For your info he actually died in ghana, and he was a famous writer and an African American civil rights leader and an activist. He wrote on many things such as uniting Africa as one nation(Pan-Africanist), just like the European Union has joined as one. Why cant black people do the same. Do we love each other enough to come together?
f u definetely has some growing up to do, for the most part he sounds very angry for no reason at all. Black people we need to embrace ourself, yes NO NAME is entitled to her opinion and you need to respectfully disagree not insult her.
Seven big-ups for the Wanlov info I looked it up on youtube. I didn’t listen to all of it but I shall research and listen more tomorrow its 1:33 am my time right now. I thank you for stirring me the right way It sounds like more positive truth from what I heard. Seven are you in Ghana? I’ll speak on more details on it tomorrow.
Also NANA B. We must talk. I’m thankful that I am now getting on the right track with meeting people that are willing to let go of their issues to teach. Thank You guys really from the heart. Seriously! I mean it Thank You. It’s hard to learn when people are to mad to teach!
Peace and Love…..
Goodnight also Good-day depending on where you are… Also I’ve been really working hard to learn Twi…
nobody is perfect.so you guys should take it easy.
No matter wat u do on this earth, there will be critics ba that shd rather keep u on track. U do things dat positive thinkers will admire n forget abt negative thinkers. It’s all abt keeping it real n being urself. U can also learn from somebody ba not steal from that person. Musicians got to focus on real life issues, things that happens day in and day out. Be more creative n bring out ur own good work. Great exmp. is Wanlov, Akatakyie - sie sie obaa no, Oheneba PK;very impressive artist, Obrafour, Ofori Amponsah, etc. Nway, good luck on ur next track n try to do some corrections as to wat people will like n not wat u like.
Ghanas re jus 2 quick 2 judge.I’m sure if Akon was Ghanaian he wudnt hav made it dis far.Wat is all dis Ghana, not ghanaian thing, the song is gud so is the video, the gal is decent as well so wts it now?I’m very sure all u critics want ghana music 2 hit international, the old way has been tried n tested but were still where we re,if u follow a path n u see is not successful u must change 2 anotha path. We’re all soo stereotypical, cum on all of u.Support ur people n stop dis,if anotha person 4rm anywhere else in Africa had sang dis song it wud hav been a hit in Ghana.
to NO NAME,i am actually not in Ghana. Im am all over the eastcoast. i co-produced Wanlov’s album. get at me svnxvr@hotmail.com
What’s wrong wit u critics at all… pls give dis gurl a break.D song might not make sense 2u bt it’s not all songs dat makes sense bt we still dance 2 it. C’mon dis is entertainment…besides if all ghanaian music shod hav smetin 2 do wit our culture… wouldn’t it had been very boring. We have 2 appreciate all good thingz frm our country..either they copied frm Americans or Romanians. In this world, we learn good things frm eachother.Well done Tiffany & Richie..never give up…untill u get 2 ur destination.
why can’t ghanaians wirte their own songs without any western influence i mean every one is trying to be an American why can’t they just bring their own individuality they have talent but have to express it in their own way not copy catering the American or the western culture, the ghanaian culture is beautiful and needs to be shown
All I want to say is, it shouldn’t matter if this song talks about our culture or doesn’t, amean c’mon, we listen to hip-hop, do all of’em make sense or do they reflect about their lives (since african americans lost their culture). All you gotta judge in this case is creativity and profession. I think the video is nice, the voice good, need improvement still. If you’ll listen to ying yang twin’s “whisper song” or soulja boy’z “soulja boy” and like it, what difference does it make to hear a song that’s simply saying have fun. Amean c’mon ghanaians, you complain about copying others but then u don’t support your own. I bet y’all buy Jay Z’s album and not a ghanaian hip hop artist, simply cuz he’s copying, WELCOME TO 2007.
Anyways make I make my point clear. You ghanaians who criticize others of copying western culture are the same people who supports western culture. Tell me why ghanaians will pay $120 to go see Jay Z perform in Ghana, does he do hip-life? Ghanaians, music is something you do as you feel, amean where do u think hiplife came from? Hip hop right? did u think hip life just jumped up without any trend? Next point, people who are criticizing b’cuz they think they are copying will be the same people who’ll be like “YEAH THAT GIRL IS FROM GHANA” if she makes it big. Is Akon fucking american? i don’t think so, but he makes all of us proud, is he doing senegalize music? maybe yeah, but the is smart, going main stream by doing hip hop/r&b, I don’t think that’s senegalise culuture. Foolish old schoolers. I’m a producer, I don’t make hip-life beats, does it mean I lost my culture? nkurasefour.

what is posted here is not to offend anyone or insult anyone we are sharing our own opinions in a proper manner as a very well Ghanaian will represent his or her self, it not like the video is bad or it portraying Ghanaians to be copy caters, all am saying is we are all different in our own unique way and our culture is part of what motivate our talent, of couse hip life was a renaissance of hip pop but mostly we should bring out what makes our culture extraordinary just like most of our neighboring countries. it is ture, the African American culture is more than what is shown on television, there’s more to it if anyone reads their history, it not like am saying the western culture is negative or polluting as most poeple see it, but the beautie it will be if more of the Ghanaian culture is shown and embraced instead us basing our whole ideas on what we see Americans do. i no i can’t sing or wirte my own lyrics and the fact is am not “hating”. the vidoe is well organized and it shows that Ghana and ghanaians are developing. lastly we should all respect our selves in the terms of name calling, it is not nice, let all have a great arguement instead of insulting others.
da song is good n da video is also good. uall did well. keep it up. das what we call RnB pop music.
First of all madd shout outs to Ellanora.am feelin errythang u said on ur comment..Keep it up… NO Name whats poppin dyme. I wanna apologize for callin ya a dude…..4gimme ma

WTF?
you are pathetic no name. like I said get a life
stop wasting space no name. nobody reads your garbage
Lol No Name and Fu you guys sound like a married couple. Ok i think Fu definitely has had some bad experiences with African Americans. Fu sounds very bitter, and i cant imagine what he has gone through to make him talk with such language. Anyways to some extent i agree with Fu though, No Name i think you are spending too much talking about other things instead of giving comments on the videos. I think you should try to comment on the videos. Also sometimes when you list words and give its definition i feel it is condescending. I mean what are trying to say to ghanaians when you have to define words. With that said i wouldnt say dont give comments, i personally appreciate African Americans who try to learn about their true home and do not live in ignorance, only Lord knows how many exist.
AYYYEEE SO DIHZ IS WAT GHANA HAS BEEN REDUCED TO..ABUSKELE ATADIE AND VIDEOS..AYEEE HMM WELL NE WAYZ(HAD TO MAKE A COMMENT FOR THE HATERZ) LOL..I LOVEEEE DIHZ VIDEO..ITZ REALLYYY HOT!! NICELY DIRECTED!BIG UPZ!
Guys,
This Video is great.
It has really change the way we look at local hip-hop/hiplife music.
Tiffany, I’m on your side what ever the case. I will support you.
Keep-on with the hard work.
Also congratulate Abraham Ohene-Djam (OM Studios) for this great master-piece.
okay…
a few things need to be tackled…
1. Maame Akua no, Akon isnt ghanaian but i think you need to do your research and find that there are loads of ghanaians who have made it big to date in music. Sway, Leathal B, Blitz, just to mention a few, and they have been given the neccesary support they deserve from fellow ghanaians
2. F U you seriously dont understand the meaning of the word ‘culture’ there is no such thing as a lost culture. hate is a really dirty word to use.
if you think you have something to tell the world… find some studio time and talk about the poverty and diseases you believe in.
3. Riki, 10 seconds? you dont have an opinion on this poll. sorry
4. what i really think of this song? well not worth listening to until richie’s bit.
FUCK CRITICS….TELL THEM TO SING THIERS….YOU SHOULD GET IN TOUCH…. IT WILL DO YOU SOME GOOD 0249950539
