Oheneba P. K. & Hon. Obeng Busia (Consular-General)Ghanaian born hiplife / contemporary highlife artiste, Oheneba P. K. aka Hiplife Secretary General has been honoured by Ghana Business Alliance at a gala ceremony in USA.

The star received the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year 2007’ in recognition of his career. He was hailed as “an icon of contemporary highlife” who has continued to ‘reinvent’, ‘experiment’ and ‘inspire’ since he sprang up recently.

The ceremony was well attended by Dr. Kwame Edusei-Bawuah (Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States of America), Hon. Obeng Busia (Consular-General) , Oheneba P. K.’s Priddae Production team and his league of featured artistes namely Kwasoul and Kwesi Appeh not forgetting his large fanbase.

“It is a great honour to be the recipient of this year’s ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year 2007’ and I am truly thrilled to be recognised in this way,” he said.

Oheneba P. K. closed the ceremony with a special performance of ‘Full Stop’, ‘Wonn Mma Me Nka Bi’, ‘I Love you’, ‘Darling’, ‘Odo Power’ and ‘I Do You Do‘ and was called back on stage again because he gave did his fans a splendid show.

“I was requested by a different committee to perform at conference of NPP presdential aspirant, Yaw Osafo Marfo, after they saw me on stage but due to my tight schedule, I could not honor that offer. My manager in the U.S - Akwasi Wiredu made the committee aware of it. But we still have some shows in the states to honour”, Oheneba P. K. rounded up the telephone interview.
