Blaze started rapping at the age of 11. He was inspired by rappers like Snoop Dogg, Regie Rockstone and Jonny Blaze. He was raised by a very strict Ghanaian dad and his mom who moved to the US when he was 11. His father passed away at the time that he most needed him so he chose hip hop as a father figure.
He started recording during his primary school days at Achimota School and proceeded to Adisadel College. He later moved to College of North East London to study Music Tech and Skills in writing.
His first album was with LIFE LINE in 1999 and the second album was released in 2002 before teaming up with K. K. Fosu to release DUA.
Two of his biggest singles were ‘SECRETERY’ and ‘WUSISI YE WU YA’.
T. Blaze quit music because of reasons beyond his control. A lot of fans, producers and family thought that was the end of his music career but after years of struggling to get a record deal, Emmanuel introduced him to Paul of KILLA 1 WEST productions who showed immediate interest and signed him up.
So after all these years of waiting T. Blaze is back with a bang and is ready to release ‘EDIKAN BEDI AKYEREY’ which means “the first shall be last”.
The album features artistes like SWAY, MORRIS, NANA YAA and KK FOSU.
