I have said it time and time again whenever I hear this guys voice every Sunday morning that he talks too much on Sunny FM but then, I can tell you that I love his clean jokes and good selections of music.
Eugene Arthur Sam is his name and whenever you don’t get the chance to go to church on Sundays, he is there to get you in the spiritual mood whiles making you laugh at the same time.
I have met him and wondered how such a young and handsome gentleman in spectacles (or glasses) could be this comical on air and sound very matured with his presentation.
I am not praising him too much, am I? He is one of the promising presenters who are set to take over from Abeiku Santana, DJ Abio as well as McDiamond Nyamekor because he sounds like these three presenters combined. This is a guy who started off at Sunny FM at their marketing department and was one day given the chance to sit behind the consul and the rest, as they say, is history.
However, he has flaws which I find quite unappealing. He talks so much that he frequently interferes with listeners’ concentration on a song.
This is a gospel programme and he must be quiet enough to allow listeners soak in the songs since it is not all about entertainment and jokes. Some of his jokes are also dry and not funny and I hate the way he inconsistently flows with the english language. He speaks english as if there are punctuations between every word.
Anyway, kudos, Eugene..You make my day every Sunday.
