Kojo AntwiP&P reports that in the face of the recent mysterious killings of Ghanaians in what has become known as “contract killings,” security conscious people are now taking every threat with utmost seriousness.

Against this background,”the music man” Kojo Antwi became alarmed when he recently received text messages threatening him with death.

At the time of filing this story, the criminal investigations department(CID) of the Ghana police service has taken up the matter and promised to unmasked the person or those behind the threatening messages and bring them to book.

Although the music legend himself would not comment on the issue because the case is still under police investigations, a source close to him confirmed that Kojo Antwi had indeed received a series of threatening messages.

The source who spoke to P&P on a strict condition of anonymity alleged that the messages, which usually come to the musician’s phone during the night, state among other things that some assassins had been hired to eliminate him and that he should be on the look out.

According to the source, Kojo Antwi initially did not take the message seriously but decided to take action due to the frequent of the messages.

As usual, this allege threat on the life of the music man has led to various conspiracy theories and tongue wagging within showbiz circles. Some musicians who spoke to P&P alleges that those faceless

people might have threatened Kojo Antwi due to his recent announcement to contest the presidency of the up and coming MUSIGA elections.

Those sending the messages are people who do not want people like Kojo Antwi, who can change the fortunes of the country’s musicians and want to scare him away.

Others also opined that the threat on the musician’s life had nothing to do with the impending elections. To the latter group,the musician might have his own personal problems with someone necessitating the allege threat.
