In a recent interview with hiplife/hiphop artiste, Kwaw Kese took shots at Kokovelli, Kontihene and C-zar alone. Kwaw Kese has always been noted for having crazy, out of the box and a times profane lyrics and this time round threw a few punches at his fellow artistes in the same genre.
During the telephone conversation, the Takoradi bred ‘crazy’ rapper addressed Kokovelli’s rapping ability as not nice and always getting away with choruses.
“For Kontihene his raps are always not up to his verses. It’s like he is always short of words. He is wack” Kwaw said. People might link this to Kwaw Kese beefing with Kontihene when he laid a line in the song, “Oye Nonsense”.
Kwaw added that C-Zar is like a grandfather in the music industry who is dead. He is like Kokovelli in a way.
Kwaw believes he is not wack because he does what his fans want of him and a ‘don’ in the hiplife game.
Kwaw continues that apart from these rappers that he has mentioned, the rest are not wack and good to him.
According to Kwaw Kese, his third album is currently on sale in every music shop worldwide. He recently released, his video to Ghana Music which was premiered ‘big time’. Watch out ‘cos’ Kwaw Kese has a Music For Help project which he does free concerts for the less privileged in society.

finally, somebody who is tired of the wacky raps of Kontihene. Kontihene is absolutely not a musician. Plus i don’t think Kwaw kese is that good himself. Anyway he’s done well by the saying this

i agree 100% with what he said about kokovelli, I’ve always thought kokovelli came to this game by either luck or mistake. His stage craft might be ok, but he lacks rapping talent. but i disagree on the comment of kontihene. i think kontihene is very talented. though he disappointed me by not being forthcoming with the truth about his suppose beef with obrafour & co. i tried to get him to come clean on solid gold countdown with pryme eye this past Saturday, but refused.
i agree that Kokovelli can not rap.i think he got a different talent. he is not like the other musicians who have the talent. for example obour,tic tac, obrafour, lord kenya, screw face, batman and co. i think kontihene is better than kokovelli period!

First of all who is kawkese to come up and say who can and can’t rap. Every musician is good in their own unique way. If every voice, lyrics, and style was to sound the same, how would that be called music. Everybody’s struggling to make it out there. Writing music is one of the toughest things to do. And if kawkese was a true musician he would know that instead coming out in public trying to discourage and talking shit about his fellow musicians. I could name songs of kontihene, and kokovelli that people love and dance to. What about kawkese. I stay hearing kontihene and koko’s song’s. Somebody appreciate’s and enjoys their music. Like i said every musician is good in their own way. Music is not supposed to sound the same. So if they’re coming out doing different things, it’s not cos they’re wack, cos their different and music is music. Kawkese is just hungry from lack of sales and promo that he decided to come out and attack those that are making it. I don’t know when we’ll ever love and encourage each other as ghanaians, instead of envying and hating one another.

About C’zar, it’s very 2ru, Kokoveli is better and for Kontihene, he’s ok.
I personally think kontihene is crazy when it comes to spittin.I actually understand what he sayin . But Kwam kwese’s beats n styll is off the chain . I dont understand him very well.
