Though the venue for the finals for Mentor 3 is yet to be officially confirmed the final four contestants to battle for the enviable position of winner of Mentor 3 were made known last Sunday. Call it the best of all the performances since Mentor 3 started and you would not be far from wrong.
Despite the overwhelming and enthusiastic crowd at Studio B last Sunday Paa failed to give to his fans what he has been giving them since the start of the Show. Paa one contestant who was described as “too gentle and krife” was full of confidence that he would be part of the final four but that was not meant to be.
Last Sunday’s performance was the last of the eviction nights of the Show with the finals coming up in two weeks time though both the Conference Center and the National Theater are yet to be officially confirmed as to where the final showdown would be.
If what transpired last Sunday is anything to go by then certainly come the 28th of July 2007 a new Mentor would be crowned to take over from Prince whose reign as the Mentor King had been pretty much on the quite.
Erico is one contestant who is aiming at emulating the success story of Prince having been evicted and reinstated within the course of the competition which follows the same story line as the reigning Mentor King.
But Ras Lisa is more than eager and determined to set a record that would be forever remembered in the history of the Mentor Show as the only female to have been crowned at the finals. She was more than enthused when Anita told her she would have a point to prove in two weeks time.
This notwithstanding the likes of Faya and Paul can spring up any last minute surprise come the finals. Comparing the improvement in their performances last Sunday anybody who writes them off does so at their own risk.
With Erico still dreaming of a trip to South Africa and Lisa looking forward to a rare surprise at the finals the stage for the finals cannot be said to be well planned. For the critics who have been very helpful especially since Mentor 3 started keeping both the contestants and the organizers on their toes I think this time round they would be disappointed. Or it would be the other way round.
Next week is eviction free and this would give the voting public enough time to assess the contestants and to make informed decisions as to who they vote for. In the midst of this, Paa would be welcoming his fans, friends and family to the Barcadis Night Club at Community 4 in Tema.
Nadjat true to expectations really did pull the crowd at the Oceans night club. It goes without saying that she becomes the first Mentor girl to be chauffeured in a Jaguar to an eviction party. To the final four we at Weekly Fylla wishes them well and may the best performer and with the most votes win.
