On Sunday July 1, Ghana came to a stand still as Entertainment Revolution, organisers of the TIGO Experience Tour for TIGO, the new cellular experience paraded on stage the most promising artistes in Ghana at the La Beach.
At about 9:00am, the place was filled to capacity. I could not believe my eyes when I made my way to the La Beach. It seems some had slept over the previous day. Talk of the stage, it was awesome -both male and female dressing rooms with a rest place for the artistes.
With TIGO colours all over, the place was set for Ghana’s biggest beach jam. Activities like the sack race, lime and spoon and the likes set the stage for the day.
The sensational Vibration Kings treated fans to reggae tunes from oldies to modern. Performing songs of Bob Marley, Buju Banton and other legendary reggae artistes, the fans couldn’t help but sing along.
Next on the bill was a performance from Black suede and the street breakers with Nii Elijah getting fans into the reggae feel.
When Joe of Mentor 2 fame stepped upstage, it was all shouts and screams. Singing songs from his yet-to-be released album, he got the crowd in the music mood.
At about 3:00pm, Ghana’s answer to Reggae-R&B music Ebo’o together with Funky Boy heated up the place with his No 1 single ‘Once Twice’ and other songs from his yet-to-be released album with 5.5, the Adabraka boys following up with their car banging tune ‘African Girls’.
Crazy Kow Kesse together with his backup artiste Jagoo punished the ecstatic crowd with songs from his repertoire like ‘Na Ya Tal’ and ‘Oye Nonsense’. The fired up crowd could not resist but shout out ‘abodam’ (crazy).
For all who thought Tinny was dead, you are wrong. As he climbed upstage, the ladies were screaming and swooning with guys grooving to his style. His charisma on stage nearly tore the place apart.
The moment we were all waiting for came as Obrafour, the ambassador for TIGO and his entourage made their way onto the stage to rock the place. With Obrafour upfront and his sexy dancers behind, what else do you expect? It was all fireworks.
Kudos to Entertainment Revolution for organising such a memorable event for TIGO. This will definitely be a day to remember and will forever be in the minds of people. Trust me, if there were to be an awards for ‘Best Shows’, this would have been in the ‘A’ list.

TIGO AND OBRA4 ARE 1. OBRA4 AND TIGO ARE CIRTAINLY THE PERFECT MATCH. DREAM KEEPER SAYS SO.
