Barely a year after he was arrested in London on June 29 last year over alleged importation of 100kg of cocaine into the United Kingdom.
The high life sensational singer Daasebre Ahofe Gyamenah, on Sunday 17th June this year held a “house party” for his numerous fans and sympathizers at his close pal’s residence at Adweso, a suburb of Koforidua in the Eastern region.
Daasebre, who’s much awaited fans besieged the Kotoka International Airport to welcome him back from London on 15th may were denied the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the hero on his arrival.
The anxious fans this time inkling with the info, stormed the venue of the program to join celebrate his release from prison were he was being held over alleged drug trafficking.
The party which actually commenced at 6:45pm attracted people from all walks of life. The event which was indeed colourful was chaired by Ms. Eunice Kodi, a good old friend of Daasebre based in Holland. Also in attendance was Mr. Ernest Aboagye, an Accra- UK businessman and many more highly ranked personalities.
Anxious fans grew impatient by every second as the party went on as a result of their hero not turning up early for the event. The looks on the faces of all present depicted the inevitable question; where is Daasebre? Huge signs of relief were heaved when he finally stepped out of a black sports car looking very graceful and elegant. He actually looked well fed with a bulging tummy and donning a white designer shirt.
Before he took his seat, guests at the function welcomed him cheerfully with accolades like Ahofe, Daasebre, thank God you are back, the devil is a liar to which he responded by smiling and waving back at short intervals.
His presence then stirred up the whole event with everyone making merry in ultimate delight. Fans requested their man for an accapella since they missed the soothing, silky voice of Daasebre. Guests at the function couldn’t help but sing along as he did rendition of a couple of his latest album. Most of the quests interviewed expressed overwhelming joy over his release and were grateful to God for not withstanding the privileged of being with him at the very special occasion.
For those of you out there waiting to hear something from the smooth operator, hold your peace and chill out because he has got something real big coming up.
