If not much has been heard of the hugely talented Cee, since her eviction from the TV3 Mentor II competition, it is because the pretty lady with the beautiful voice has been busy working on her debut album.

Cee, whose real name is Cynthia Appiah-Kubi has just released her eight-track album titled Osabarima which features Mentor I contestants, Isaac and Ampong.

The songs on the gospel album which will be launched next month were written by Nana Yaw Asare, Isaac, Ampong and Cynthia herself.

The album opens with the title song, Osabarima, delivered in reggae and encourages people to trust in God only because He alone can do all things.

The chorus voices of Ampong and Isaac in the background make this song a pleasant one.

Kae Me is a fusion of reggae and highlife while Nkyira comes through as a purely prayerful song which talks about how the power of God can intercede for believers.

On Nyame Adom, Cee calls on listeners not to let their past decide who they are because God’s ways are many. Here, Cee’s rich voice is further enriched by remarkable instrumentation.

Other songs on the album, produced by Bandex Music Production are Psalms 23, Menim Ne din, Awurade Kae Me and Me Mboa Fri Ewurade.

21 year-old Cee appears to be a lucky young woman. While she was still in the Mentor House, she received an offer from a producer who was ready to support her in making her first album.

“Bandex told me that he wanted to help me come out with an album because I had a powerful voice. Although I had not written any song, I accepted the offer at once”.

Cee’s comes from Asanti Bekwai. She attended Faith Assemblies of God Secondary School at Tafo but according to her, she was not able to complete the school due to some financial constraints.

“I did not get anybody to pay my school fees as a result of that I stopped schooling in SSS 2. Although it was very painful, I trusted God for something new and now see how far He has brought me” she said.

Cee said her vision in life is to go back to school and become one of the greatest musicians in the country. “I would want to go back to school if only I get help from someone”.
