Daasebre GyamenaAfter his not guilty verdict at the Isleworth Crown Court in London, popular highlife singer Daasebre Dwamenah returned to Ghana a free man on Tuesday 15th May at the Kotoka International with so many lessons learnt.

Whiles in remand Daasebre had a golden opportunity to study and he took that opportunity to undertake a course in Information Technology (IT) and Mathematics.

He received certificates for both subjects after going through the courses successfully during his drug trail in the Queen’s land. He is also due to take his third Diploma in IT next month.

Additionally the musician cum-entertainer has been awarded thirty three thousand Pounds (£33,000) as compensation for the time he wasted in court.

Surprisingly Daasebre was able to compose about 1500 songs out of which he is planning to release his next album in a couple of months to come. Apart from composing songs, he learnt how to reassemble earphones and he was part of the factory hands for Virgin Technology.

His former manager Fred Nuamah stated that the said amount will come to Daasebre from the British Government as compensation for the time he spent in the prison over his alleged cocaine case.

According to Fred he was actually supposed to receive the money before coming to Ghana but Daasebre couldn’t wait any longer to come back home and put some smiles on the faces of his fan base. Daasebre’s lawyer will therefore receive the money on his behalf.

The dissolution, according to Fred was as a result of the team’s lack of credibility. “The management team was dissolved because it is not credible,” he stated, but declined explaining further, what he meant.

In the history of show business in Ghana this is the first time a celebrity of Daasebre’s caliber has gone through such a serious drug trial outside Ghana and come out clean even with all these side benefits. For now information from Daasebre’s camp has it that, his former 5-member management team led by Fred Nuamah has been dissolved for a new management team to help shape the career and future of one of the best male vocalists in the country today.

Explaining this further, Fred said he is still the CEO of Stick Entertainment the company that produced Daasebre’s previous album and other subsequent albums but he is not his manager.

Fred retreated that the reason why the five member management team which include himself has been dissolved is that he believes they are not credible enough considering what transpired before, during and after Daasebre’s trial.

Though Fred was very skeptical of mentioning names of the new management team he hinted Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) of Radio Gold who used to be with Daasebre has now come out to state clearly his intentions of coming back as a management member.

However information reaching Weekly Fylla has it that KOD is no where near returning to the management fold since he has other intentions. All attempts made at reaching KOD proved futile but Weekly Fylla would follow up on this issue in the coming days.

For now the newly appointed manager for Daasebre Ahuofe Dwamenah has been named as Mrs. Lawrencia Duah who used to be the publicist for Samini. But Lawrencia insist that no contract has been signed yet. Presently Daasebre is taking time off from the watchful eye of the media and the public at an unknown location to reflect on the past and plan for the future.

On the other hand Yaw Donaldson another member of Daasebre’s former management team who was mentioned as one of the suspects believed to be associated with the cocaine saga has thanked God for the release of his brother.

According to him, his association with the cocaine saga has affected everything he does as an individual.

He emphasized that when he sends proposals to offices for sponsorship all they say is they do not want to do any business with any cocaine dealer thus making life very unbearable for him. In view of this he made it categorically clear that he will organize a press conference to tell the whole world his version of the issue.

Out of the merry making certain observations came to light which many would not want to be associated with. One question on the lips of music fans and lovers of Daasebre who trouped to the airport is that; why didn’t MUSIGA or at least any musician show up at the airport to welcome Daasebre?

Weekly Fylla has also chance upon certain information regarding the whole Daasebre saga. What is this we hear that Daasebre has been expressing nightmares as a result of his stay in the cells? Rumor has it that Daasebre still hears keys ringing in his ears anytime he hears a loud sound. Has the imprisonment done any damage or have psychological effect on Daasebre?

Was Daasebre really set up? Why was Donaldson not present at the airport? How would the controversies surrounding his current album be solved? Anybody with answers to these questions would help unravel a whole world of mystery.
