Look-alikes and sound-alikes are characteristics of showbusiness, and although many don’t approve of it, it has become inevitable. It prevails everywhere with Avant looking like R. Kelly, Marques Houston sounding like R. Kelly, Kofi Nti sounding like Daddy Lumba and Guerilla Black sounding like Notorious BIG.
If an ariste look or sound exactly like another much to his/her detriment, then there’s a problem. Batman became popular because he featured on over fifty songs and unleashed an award winning debut album.
There was a time when every hit song had Batman’s signature written on it. He virtually was on everybody’ song, from Mary Agyapong to Nana Acheampong and a bunch of others.
He made ordinary songs sort-after songs and he catapulted songs to the charts. Recently, there’s been a new name and a new face representing on every song like Batman used to. He calls himself SCREWFACE and has the exact ‘flow’ and style of Batman except for the “kpoo” sound.
So why is every artiste snubbing Batman and opting for this Screwface guy, who is hungrier for fame and success?
Well, most of the artistes have revealed that Batman is a little arrogant, plays hard
to get and thinks he’s indispensable.
And in their bid to tell Batman he’s dispensable, they go in for Screwface. But why would they want to go in for someone who sounds like Batman? The answer is simple; Batman was a pivotal factor in the success story of these artistes. It also vindicates Batman that, he made songs popular with record sales with his inclusion and I don’t need to cite examples to buttress such a brazen truth. He had the midas touch to their songs.
I’ve scrutinized Screwface and realize he’s good but he can’t be Batman. There is nothing like the real and original stuff. I’ll admonish Batman that, Showbiz is all about ‘give and take, ‘you help someone with his song and he helps with yours. You don’t denigrate them in the papers and on radio, even if you’re responsible for the success of the song. Afterall, he won’t be where he is now if nobody has introduced him to the limelight.
And to Screwface; I think you’re good, aside of you copying Batman’s style, but why do you want to look like him with the dreadlocks and all that?

Thank God someone has noticed that. That Srewface was irritating me extremely with copying Samini’s style and flow. But like the writer said, there is nothing like the real and original thing.
And i don’t think Samini is arrogant, i think he is a very busy guy and when you call him and can’t get him, he is not going to disappoint you by saying he’ll be there and later doesn’t show up. So, right there, if he can’t, he says so. Point blank. He won’t deceive you.
